About Adelaide Drama Therapy and Counselling
Adelaide Drama therapy and Counselling uses a range of therapeutic techniques with the goal of establishing a therapy that is personally tailored to the client.
Maressa Derry is a trained Drama therapist who completed her university degree in the Netherlands where she gained her initial experience working as a Drama Therapist. She moved to the UK and worked as a counsellor and Drama therapist for many years in a special school.
Since arriving in Australia Maressa continued her work as a (DECD) school Counsellor and as a Drama Therapist in her own practice.
Maressa is a professional member of ACA (Australian Counselling Association), ANZACATA (Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association) and a clinical PACFA (The psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) member.

Adelaide Drama Therapy and Counselling will not disclose confidential information obtained in the course of the Drama Therapy and Counselling sessions, except for one or more of the following circumstances:
· With the consent of the person
· Where there is a legal obligation to do so
· If there is an immediate and specified risk of harm to an identifiable person(s)
· Suspected abuse or neglect of a person under the age of 18 years.
